Michele Laurita, a Los Angeles native, began her career as a child actor before transitioning into the world of photography and cinematography. A graduate of the Global Cinematographic Institute under the tutelage of Academy Award-winning Director of Photography Vilmos Zsigmond, A.S.C., Michele established herself as a visionary in visual storytelling.
Her extensive portfolio spans advertising and editorial work for some of the world's most prestigious brands and publications, including 20th Century Fox, DreamWorks SKG, HBO, Vogue Italia, Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, British Vogue, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harper’s Bazaar Spain, Vanity Fair Spain, GQ Italia, Dolce & Gabbana, Jaguar, Target, Neiman Marcus, Levi’s, Sephora, and many others. Her work has graced the pages of Rolling Stone, Marie Claire, L’Officiel, Tatler, and Condé Nast Traveler, to name just a few.
Michele has captured an impressive array of actors, musicians, and directors through her lens, including Cillian Murphy, Bob Dylan, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Chase Stokes, Ben Affleck, Steve Carell, Terrence Howard, Jamie Foxx, Nicolas Cage, Mark Wahlberg, Salma Hayek, Gwen Stefani, Michael Mann, Pedro Almodóvar, Jessica Biel, Ice Cube, Alanis Morissette, Taylor Hawkins, Madonna, Anne Heche, Ellen DeGeneres, and Sophia Coppola, among others.
Her work extends beyond photography into cinematography and directing. Michele served as the Director of Photography for the HBO documentary American Summer, chronicling Ellen DeGeneres’s comedy tour. She also created the photorealistic graphics for Steven Spielberg’s film Minority Report.
In the music industry, Michele directed music videos for Alanis Morissette, including Head Over Feet and the European cut of You Learn You Live. She crafted cinematic content for live tours by legendary acts such as The Rolling Stones, Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill Tour, No Doubt, The Cranberries, Matchbox 20, and Duran Duran.
