Byron Spencer
Photographer + Director
Byron Spencer is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans photography, directing, creative direction, and music. His journey into photography was as instinctive as it was unconventional—without a predetermined path, he picked up a camera and began capturing his vibrant social circle, shooting party photos, bands and music festivals. His candid documentation quickly gained recognition, leading to his own fashion street style column for Australia’s leading newspaper.
Evolving now into a sought-after fashion photographer, Byron is celebrated for his dynamic use of color, playful energy, and emotive storytelling. His visually striking work has been featured in 10 Magazine, Numero, King Kong, Interview Magazine, Vice, Vogue Italia, Man About Town, i-D, Milk, Wonderland, V Magazine, Nylon, Oyster, and Vogue Australia. He has collaborated with global brands including Paco Rabanne, Réalisation Par, Adidas, NYX Cosmetics and Cotton On, while also working with music icons such as Troye Sivan, Devonté Hynes, Kim Petras, Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, and The Dare.
Beyond photography, Byron explores his passion for music as one half of the emerging multimedia ‘popera’ group Deep Faith, blending his classical vocal training in music theatre and opera with EDM. His artistic versatility has been recognized through a retrospective of his multimedia work at the Sydney Powerhouse Museum, as well as a solo photography exhibition, further cementing his reputation as a visionary creative force. He is now based between Paris and America.
